13.3.5. Plastic elements
At more and more increasing use of plastic details in motor industry (for example, bumpers, mudguards and in certain cases body basic elements) repair of more serious damages of such elements becomes a question of the commission of such work to experts in this area or replacements of all element entirely.
Repair of such element of a body in repair shop is represented not so favourable because of high cost of the equipment and the materials necessary for such repair.
The technology basis is made by creation of a flute in the area of a crack in plastic by means of the rotational file inserted into an electrodrill. The damaged parts then cook together by means of the thermal pistol used for heating and вплавления of a plastic filling core in a flute. Excessive plastic after that leaves, and all area is processed for reception of an equal and smooth surface.
It is very important, that the filling core of a true grade of plastic as body elements can be made of plastic of various types (such as polycarbonate, ABS, polypropylene) was used.
Damages of the smaller importance (an attrition, small cracks etc.) can be eliminated in repair shop with the help эпоксидного the repair solution consisting of two components. If they are mixed in an equal proportion, this solution is used for body repair to similarly use шпатлевки on metal surfaces. The filler usually hardens for 20–30 minutes and is ready for processing by a skin and painting.

Use of universal paints is impossible because of a great number of various types of plastic of which body elements are made. Usual types of paints, generally speaking, will not keep on plastic or rubber it is good enough.
However there was now a possibility to get a set for a finishing stage of processing of plastic which includes structure for preliminary processing of a surface of plastic, structure for a preprocessing and multi-coloured structures for drawing of last layer.
The full list of instructions on application is usually applied on a set, but basically, the method of its use consists in drawing of preliminary structure on a processed surface and then expectations within 30 minutes of its drying.
Then the primary structure is put, and to it time within approximately one hour is allowed to dry up before the colour layer of finishing structure is put. The element of a body painted in demanded colour on which the paint strong keeps on a rubber or plastic surface as a result turns out. The ordinary paint of such advantages does not give.
