If the engine often overheated, most likely the head of cylinders could warp, carefully check up presence of signs of deformation of a head.


Clearing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove from demountable surfaces of a head of the block with the block of cylinders which is soaking up and final collectors all rests of a material of linings.
2. Соскребите a deposit from combustion chambers, clear of a deposit all apertures and channels, then wash out a head of the block of cylinders solvent.
3. Соскребите massive adjournment of a deposit from all sites of valves, by means of a brush with the electric drive remove a deposit from heads and cores of valves.

Before drawing a conclusion on necessity of repolishing of details for a workshop necessarily execute all checks described below procedure. Make the list of that demands especially steadfast attention.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
Head of cylinders
1. Attentively examine a head, check up presence of cracks, traces of penetration of a cooling liquid and other damages. At detection of cracks a head of cylinders replace.
2. Check up a deviation of a demountable surface of a head of cylinders from a plane with the help щупа and калибровочного бруска. If the curvature of a demountable plane a head it is necessary прошлифовать is revealed. If deformation of a demountable plane is that that the height of a head after polishing becomes less specified in subsection 3.2.1.1 a head replace.

6. Attentively examine a head of each valve, check up presence of cracks, degrees of deterioration and burn-out traces. Check up presence on cores of valves задиров and a fillet formed owing to deterioration. Valve turn check up its bend. Check up development at end faces of cores of valves. At detection of any signs of deterioration and damages the valve replace.
7. If as a result of this check it will be found out that a valve condition satisfactory measure diameter of the valve in several places. Appreciable distinction of diameters specifies in deterioration of a core of the valve. At detection of appreciable distinction of diameters at least in two places the valve (or valves) replace.
8. If a condition of valves satisfactory, they should be ground in to saddles to provide the tight contact excluding break of gases. If on saddles there are only insignificant damages, or the saddle was exposed to repolishing grinding in can be executed on мелкодисперсном abrasive structure. Крупнодисперсный притирочный it is necessary to apply structure only in case of detection of traces of deep development or a strong burn-out of saddles. In this case it is necessary to hand over a head of cylinders and valves on check to the skilled expert, whether it is necessary to define перезенковать saddles, or even to replace loose leaves of saddles (if are provided).
9. Grinding in of valves is carried out as follows. A head of cylinders put on an equal surface that combustion chambers have been turned upwards.
10. Put on a saddle facet a thin layer притирочной pastes (corresponding dispersion) and press a sucker of the adaptation for grinding in of valves to a valve head.
11. Grinding in carry out, turning the adaptation on 180 in both parties. In the course of grinding in sometimes raise the valve, for uniform redistribution of an abrasive material. Grinding in is essentially facilitated, if under a valve head to enclose not so rigid spring.
12. On rough abrasive structure, it is necessary to finish grinding in after formation of a monotonous matte corbel on valve and saddle facets, then wipe the valve and a saddle from the rests of paste and continue grinding in on мелкодисперсном structure. Grinding in is considered finished at formation on facets of the valve and a saddle of a uniform continuous corbel of grayish colour. The further grinding in is not supposed, as because of excessive development of a saddle its subsequent repair can become impossible.
13. After the termination of grinding in of all valves remove the rests of an abrasive material, carefully having washed out all details kerosene or solvent.

The manufacturer recommends to check springs of valves by measurement of force which causes compression of a spring till certain length. Such technique is possible only at use of the special equipment. Therefore, check of springs should be carried out in service of car-care centre of the dealer. Rough check of a condition of a spring can be spent by comparison of length of a spring in a free condition with specified in subsection 3.2.1.1.
15. Put each spring on a flat surface and put nearby a square. Measure distance between a coil of a spring and a square in the top part and compare to size specified in subsection 3.2.1.1.
16. If at least one of springs is damaged, has the raised deviation from a vertical, or has lost elasticity replace all springs in the complete set. In general at major repairs of a spring of valves it is recommended to change irrespective of their condition.
