6.3.2. Models with multidot electronic injection of fuel

The power supply system consists of the fuel tank established under the bottom in a back part of the car, the electric fuel pump established in a fuel tank, the fuel filter, the pipeline of giving of fuel and the return pipeline. The fuel pump submits fuel to a fuel collector which serves as the tank for four fuel injectors which inject fuel into inlet channels. The fuel filter is established in the pipeline going from the fuel pump to a fuel collector and serves for clearing of the fuel arriving on injectors.

In this section models "Phase I" (release till June, 1993) and "Phase II" (release after June, 1993) are mentioned. On cars with the engine in volume of 1.6 litres the multidot system of injection of fuel (engine GA16DE code) was established, only, since models "Phase II" (release after June, 1993). On cars with the engine in volume of 2.0 litres, car model ("Phase I" or "Phase II") can be defined under the form of an inlet collector. On models "Phase I" the case throttle заслонки is established on the basis of an inlet collector, and the collector rises upwards to a head of the block of cylinders; fuel injectors are located from above an inlet collector and are easily accessible. On models "Phase II" the case throttle заслонки is established from above an inlet collector, and the collector falls downwards to a head of the block of cylinders; fuel injectors are less accessible.


The prevention

At carrying out of many operations it is necessary to remove or disconnect fuel tubes that can lead to fuel leak. Gasoline is very dangerous and flying liquid and at work with it extra care is required.

Residual pressure remains in fuel tubes for a long time after the car was in movement. Before a detachment of any fuel tubes, let out pressure from fuel system, being guided by the instructions resulted in subsection 6.3.2.6.
