7.2. The battery

The battery is in the left part of a motor compartment.


Standard batteries
1. At small run of the car the electrolit density is recommended to check each 3 months.
2. At suspicion on malfunction of the battery compare electrolit density in cells which should differ no more than on 0,04. Otherwise plates are damaged, or there is an electrolit leak.
3. If the density differs in the specified limits, and the battery is discharged, it should be charged.
Unattended batteries
4. The battery condition is defined by the voltmeter or on the indicator.
5. The battery condition is defined on colouring of the indicator which depends on battery type (consult at purchase).
6. At check of pressure by the voltmeter should pass not less than 6 hours after last trip. Otherwise include before check a headlight of headlights on 30 with.

1. Turn away a nut and disconnect plugs (arrow) from poles (the first disconnects the negative plug).
